UMAG Energy Use
The power needed for the disposal and processing of animal waste can be generated by energy plants manufactured by UMAG. Steam boilers can be powered by natural gas, fuel oil and/or animal fat.
UMAG has developed a biogas plant with an integrated thermal pressure hydrolysis for mono digestion of animal waste. This process optimizes the biogas yield while simultaneously minimizing the retention time in the digester. The generated biogas can either be supplied direct into the grid of a gas service or be utilized in a CHP plant with an internal combustion engine.
An optimal solution for the disposal of animal meal is offered by UMAG'S fluidized bed technology. Due to the high heating value and low load of harmful substances, the meal is suitable for combustion with subsequent heat recovery and power generation.
